Meet Tara Hopkins: Family-Focused and Farm-Loving Lucas County Resident
Originally from Maryland, Tara Hopkins brings a strong background in business and a deep appreciation for rural living. She graduated from Goldey-Beacom Business College in 1993—the same year she married her husband, Jeff, a professional archer since 1993.
Tara spent 17 years in the corporate banking and credit card industry, gaining valuable experience in finance and client relations. In 2013, she and her family made the move to Lucas County, Iowa, where they embraced country life by purchasing a farm just south of Lacona and a home on 30 acres on the south side of Chariton.
She and Jeff are proud parents to two children, Jena and Scott, and grandparents to Rosalee and Ricky. Tara loves spending quality time with her family, traveling with Jeff for archery events, and enjoying peaceful days on the farm.
Whether supporting her family’s passions or making the most of life in South Central Iowa, Tara is a proud member of the Lucas County community.
